Land Size Converter helps people in India understand land sizes: plot buyers, farmers, families dividing land, students and people reading old papers from a home village.
Why this site exists
India uses dozens of land units, and many of them change size from one state or district to the next. A bigha in Uttar Pradesh is almost twice a bigha in West Bengal. A katha in Patna is not a katha in Kolkata. Most converters hide this and show one number. We show the value used in each region and let you choose.
What you will find here
- Converters for every common pair of units, with formulas and ready tables.
- Guides to each local unit and to land measurement in each state.
- A square feet calculator and a land area calculator for rectangles, triangles and four sided plots.
